PROVISION OF OFFSITE DISASTER RECOVERY AND BUSINESS CONTINUITY
Agricultural Business Initiative (aBi) is a multi-stakeholder entity co-founded in July 2010 by the Governments of Denmark and Uganda with an objective of promoting private sector agribusiness development to enhance wealth creation in Uganda. aBi Trust acts as a vehicle for channeling financial and technical support to beneficiaries and partners for private sector agribusiness development. aBi Finance is the investment arm of aBi Trust that aims to enable the Trust to meet its programme activities in a sustainable manner by offering financing for agribusiness development through various financing mechanisms.
What is needed?
In light of the above, aBi is looking for a consultant/ firm to provide Infrastructure as a Service to host offsite Data Back-up, Disaster Recovery (DR) and provision of a Business Continuity (BC) Facility as part of its on-going DR & BC plan. These elements will form part of the organizations Disaster Recovery Plan.
An offsite Data Back Up Disaster Recovery Program entailing full access to all of aBi’s data, 24/7, from outside of the company’s premises. The data must reflect the actual organization structure accounting for all directories and servers. In the event of a disaster or any other unforeseen event rendering the headquarters inaccessible, a business continuity facility must be made fully available. The service must be in place for two years from implementation.

Installation and implementation must take no longer than three weeks. The winning contractor must be able to begin implementation by July the 16th 2018 at the latest. Services must be provided continually for a period of two years from implementation.
