Agricultural Business Initiative (aBi), Heifer International, National Agriculture Research Organisation (NARO) and Nation TV have partnered with Monitor Publications Limited (MPL) on the 2018 Seeds of Gold Campaign under the theme; ‘Climate Smart Farming’. providing practical information and knowledge to bridge the gap on production and productivity in the various value chains.

During the launch and Mou signing press conference on 8th May 2018, MPL announced that 5 farm clinics are planned for 2018 and are scheduled for May, June, August, October and November 2018 in West, South Buganda, Central, North and Eastern regions respectively. The first clinic will be in Western Uganda this May and will focus on practical training on Dairy, Passion fruits, Maize, Beans, Mangos, Cassava and Banana. The topics will include but not limited to, seeds and varieties, post-harvest handling, value addition, sustainable land management, irrigation and water harvesting. The clinic will be held on Saturday May 26, 2018 at Mbarara Zonal Agricultural Research & Development Institute (MBAZARDI) and it is absolutely free.

In addition to the farm clinics, a national symposium on climate change bringing together all key stakeholders (government, private sector, development partners and academia)will be held in November 2018.
